Linate and Malpensa Airports are completely accessible to disabled people and have fully equipped toilets. A Reception and Assistance Centre for disabled passengers, called "Sala Amica", is available at both airports.

It is made up of Terminal 1 (the new and more important terminal) and Terminal 2 (corresponding to the old airport). The two terminals are connected 24 hours a day by a free shuttle (running every 10 minutes); these buses are equipped to carry passengers in wheelchairs.
For anyone coming from Milan, the airport is reachable by car by taking the motorway "dei laghi" A8 in the direction of Varese (exit Malpensa). The airpot has a long-term car park (for information tel: 02 74862591): by showing the appropriate orange token for disabled people and an Identity Card of the disabled person you have the right to park free of charge.

For information about:

Le Ferrovie Nord conduct the railway line which connects Malpensa Terminal 1 to the centre of Milan (Stazione Cadorna): the line is served by the "Malpensa Express" train, in which the first carriage is accessible to disabled people (access to the train is at the same level as the platform, there is special accommodation for wheelchairs; the toilet is equipped for disabled people). The train terminal is on the - 1 level of Malpensa Terminal 1 and connection with the airport is guaranteed by accessible lifts. The train runs to and from the airport every 30 minutes; the trip takes about 40 minutes.
For the first trip in the morning and the last few trips in the evening the Malpensa Express train is substituted by buses which are not suitable for disabled passengers.

Le Ferrovie Nord also offer assistance for boarding and disembarking of people with reduced mobility. For information and bookings tel: 02 20222 and ask for the Customer Assistance Office. Internet site: www.malpensaexpress.com
